yeah, i want one, but I think I'll go with the big pickups w/dirt tires. I recall some rc cars from back in the day that were flip machines when hitting the smallest pebbles on the pavement. I want one I can crash around the lawn and *****.
Roflmao - that's why I wanted one. But for that purpose the one I really want is that motorized dinosaur!! Figure it would be a riot to watch the cats jump a foot or 2 in the air when I make it move. Too bad that sucker's like $100.
I have a grey one.(nikko) It is slow, but I just got it to put on my desk. Kids that come in to the office like it too. I put the drift tires on there to make it more of a challenge to drive. Tons of fun though, for $12

here is my RX-8 RC car... (at lest a picture of the bodys.)
................. CRAP! I cant find a picture of the "good" RX-8 body. I have a yellow one with blue checker waving down the side with outline flames inside the checker..... its pretty cool.
all well, this color change 8 I did will do for now.
I'd love to get into RC cars -- at least one REALLY nice one, gas or nitro powered. Something ******* NICE im assuming in the $300-500 range? I'm sure these bastards can go many times that cost but... yeah.
Anyone got some links to big badass RC stores with lots of info?
I have a nikko Drift car. Its not an 8, its a Sylvia. They dont make the rx8 in 1:10 from the drift edition. There real good cars. but if you want an rx8 RC, dont go anything smaller than 1:10. its just pointless, They have some real good Gas powered ones that go real fast, and then again, they have some good Battery powered ones that go at least 20mph also. Its gonna be harder to find them now getting closer to christmas i would think. but shouldnt be so hard.
If you want an electric over 20mph i would suggest to start looking into real ones at hobby shops. I have a couple very good nitro rc cars, but im content with my nikko rx8 with tape over the back wheels when i want to drift around my carpet.
traxxas makes a nice electric in 1/10 scale, figure about 180 bucks or so rtr, then get the HPI body for about 20, then you can have a pseudo "real" one, and you can paint it any color you want.
200 bucks isn't bad to start, you can always sell it for about half that if you end up losing interest or decide to go with a more expensive setup etc.
There's also this drift car from HPI I'm drooling over, should be a lot of fun and it's slightly smaller in scale
