Howdy all
I've wanted an rx8 for quite a long time and a few days ago I bought one.
It's a lovely 2004 with a six speed manual and just about every luxury this car could come with.
OK in a nutshell
Body: perfect
Interior: clean
Gizmos: all fully functional( but by today's standards the GPS is garbage)
engine: strong, no signs of failure
Transmission/clutch: let's be kind, problematic... with the clutch engaged and in neutral it makes a loud whirring noise( by loud I mean noticeable with the radio off) also when shifting from 1St to second at abover 5k rpm it grinds, unless your really smooth and slow. Also I noticed the same thing to some degree going into 5the at speed...
tomorrow I'm going to change the granny fluid and check for metal if there is some than I know what the next move is
Any tips would be appreciated because I really like this car
Thank you.

Lol
Thanks for the warm welcome,
At any rate granny fluid would still be a better lubricant than what's in there I'm sure
And if I can find redline m50 I'll get that

I'm sure you meant tranny fluid. Go to the Redline website. They will list dealers that are in your area and where you can get it online.

M50? Specs call for SAE 75W-90. MT90 should do.
