Carabiner.

I lost a set at age 19. 100 miles from home (actually, at a family cabin that was 90 miles from home), a group of friends came with me to a neighboring lake. We were at the beach, and on the spur of the moment decided to go swimming. We were swimming out to a diving platform, jumping off the 3 metre board, etc. After we dried off, I realized that I'd forgotten to take my car keys out of the pocket of my shorts. We spent about an hour searching for them at the bottom of the swimming area (about 2 to 3 metres deep), with no luck. We had to bum a ride back to the cabin, then bum a ride back to town to pick up my spare set of keys. I've never lost a set since!

Regards,
Gordon

I lost my car keys a few months ago while I was riding my motorcycle (never keep loose items in an open jacket while travelling at speeds in excess of 80mph). I found them the next day on the side of the road along the route I had taken the night before, remote crushed and metal totally ground n bent.

it's called a carabiner...if your going to act like a mountain climber then at least know what the hell the equipment is called...

gheez..oh yeh ..that should be added to my pet peaves on that thread...i can't stand people buying **** used for other activities but they want to "look" like they do it...kinda like all the frat/soretities people who buy North Face jackets cause they're "cool" and they think it makes them look outdoorsy...ok whatever..done with my rant..

It'd be pretty hi-larious.

Personally, I've never lost my keys or any other physical object for that matter. I don't understand how people lose things like that. Especially important things like car/house keys!

Forget something? Sure. Lose something altogether or even temporarily? Not that I can recall.

It's just something my father pounded into my head (literally) when I was young. Kinda ironic when you consider that my father loses his keys all the time.

Voices? Is that some sort of Gemini crack? Or is because you think me mad? Bwahahahahahahaha! :p

I do a lot of things opposite of the way my father does them, thankfully. But that's a topic for another thread...

I have never "lost" my keys, I have however locked my keys in my car 2 times. Once coming Sunday morning from a weekend drink fest (very hung over), the other time, my 2nd day of work at my new job... got to break into my Subaru after work, it was sweet.
