this game alone might cause me to purchase my 3rd console (already have Wii and 360).
you know you want it . but yah i have a ps360 (no wii ) btw i tihkn you are the person who said MS will be getting blu ray drive. well i want to accep that i have bee owned, just read that sony and MS are in talks about having the blu ray drive addon for the 360.

The sad part is I might purchase a PS3 just for the Prologue game. I've been getting by with a 360 but I want to be ready for GT5 and a couple of other games on PS3 not to mention the Blue ray.
After playing the "demo" of prologue a few months back on a friends PS3, I see that GT has nailed the interior views. I prefer to race like this but most games ruin the cockpit view, making it hard to see (taking up 70% of the screen with the dash and roof) and making the sense of speed much slower. I drove the BMW 135, GT-R, EVO, and the WRX and it was easy to see and you got a real feel for how the car was behaving. I was quite impressed. Can't wait.

I think the full version suppose to come out in November(?). But knowing gaming these days, Polyphony is probraly going to make you but each car.

nah, PD had a interview last week. they said they are not going to make user buy cars. At first with GTHD they wanted to go that route, but they decided that it will hurt them in the long run, and that they wanted to give GT fans the best experience.
But due to PD always making their games the best that they can, each car has taken them weeeks up on weeks to make. so taht is why they are releasing GT pro instead of the full game. they feel that if they only release the whle game, it will be a while and they dotn want GT fans have to wait for the full retail. so the list of cars taht is out for gt5 pro ,a re the cars that they have finished. also they stated that the GT 5 full game will have as many cars as the previous versions of GT.
also they had stated with GT5 it will have car damage, but they want to make it as real as possiable. and that they want to make sure damage is real, and not some thing you just put in the game and call it damage .(hint Forza).

Nice, I had been waiting for a list of cars to see if I would get to drive an 8 in the game. Thanks for the list, i pre-ordered my copy a looong time ago, can't wait.
As far as micro-transactions, when the GT-HD tentative price structure leaked and people saw that it would cost over $1000 to unlock all of the cars and options in the game there was nearly a riot, Polyphony had to quickly back away from the concept. There will likely still be microtransactions required for tracks and things like custom paint jobs but not anywhere close to the scale they had originally envisioned.
i'll just wait for the full version to be out. no need to run and buy a partial version now, if the full one will be out a couple of months down the road, hell, i'll probably even wait two months after it's out and buy it used at gamestop.

But it's 39.99. Plus, a partial version of GT: P is better then 99.99% of racing sims out there.

PGR 3 has only 80 cars, and a handful of tracks, which cost 59.99. but oh well, ill be having a blast playing on line.

I was just about to post this news but found this thread!
So glad to see our beloved car in Prologue (I was hoping Sony would include it considering its taking them a while to bring the game/demo over stateside).. although its been in GT3 (as the concept), and GT4, the realism and experience has just been turned up so much.
I lined up for the November PS3 launch @ Sony NYC (almost 2 days in line haha!) with about 600 other folks.. I bought it just for Gran Turismo and was treated with GTHD for Christmas (over a year ago). The Prologue demo from the Japanese PSN store just made it sweeter.
One more month to go for our copy of Prologue! Let's set some record lap times and drift records with the 8!
