Gas to go to 8 to 10 dollars soon?

CNN reports we are preparing to invade Iran:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/...ef=mpstoryview

Russia and China have said they would not rule out a nuclear response to a US invasion of Iran.

As long as there is the possibility of more war, oil prices will continue to go up.
On the plus side, gas demand will drop fast after the nuclear war.

russia is a flipflopper.. at first they would support an invasion of iran or n. korea, now they would consider nuclear power against the U.S.? not sure where china stood on an iran invasion, but they too would sit idle handed with a n. korea invasion. sounds like we are more than likely to see a nuclear end to mankind then 8-10$/g for gas

but.....the reason the gas prices are rising is partially due to politics so its kinda necessary don't you think? I think we need to get the hell out of this country before the tard ***** in D.C. get us killed

Not to mention the demand for oil that a war increases...

That's pretty scary...

I am wondering where CNN got it's data...The only rumours I heard was that Obama was worried that Isreal and Iran would get into a cat fight before the November elections. CNN has been running specials about "What if the US ran out of gas" and they have their own policital agenda - So I wonder how much they are supporting an increase in prices - this rumour would sure push it up!

I don't think we would do anything that dumb unless it was proved than Iran was manipulating gas prices or eating babies!!!!

But I do suspect that gas will go to at least $5 a gallon because John Kerry made that part of his campagne back when he was running and the price went up to each California city he visited! But they fell back down when he left...

And Al Gore's book said that price rises were necessary to control Urban Sprawl, get public transport going, and prevent green house gases - if I understand him right, he thought the solution was economical and for our own good!

But when Lybia says it is going to cut back production (in part to pester the Saudis who are trying to keep their markets and OPEC functioning) I would bet on higher prices...

And with London paying $12 a liter I am betting on the prices to go up a notch or two more...

Now my ugly rumour says that the US might respond with a 3 month gas ration...I hope they don't push that on military or farmers - and since we live near San Ardo, Bakersfield, and Conoco Philip - I bet there will be a black market that just won't stop....

Man I got to buy some stock in a local wild cat driller.....

maybe a war is what the US needs. its what helped our economy out of the pre-WWII drought. and I mean a WW, not this middle-east stuff.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

I just tuned into CNN and on their political station they had a young Democratic Advisor talking about Bush and an Iranian invasion. They polled the military who either refused to talk to them or replied "What? Shit!", which is military for "not likely"!

I kinda agree with that assessment -

Congress would have to vote for something like that and you think that herd of Donkeys would go for it?

They would have to come up with more money and China is having its own financial problems, the Mortgage and Oil mess is hurting them and I don't think they have the bread even if they wanted to back us.

We have been talking peace with Iran and sent the first representatives there in years to talk about student exchanges - war would not make sense.

And we would need a draft to do it right, we are spread a little thin, and we would not be broadcasting junk, we would just do it and get it over with and not give them a heads up....

I think this is just a cute 'swift boat' type rumour with political and gas price manipulating, the CNN is gleefully repeating...

And they had better be very very careful about their sources cause this is messing with a lot more than just an election...

Wonder what they call a news organization who tries to get the whole US into trouble...

Gas prices are killing my alone time with the 8. I'm wondering how long I'll keep it. I don't know how easy it will be to sell... I ride my bikes almost everywhere, even in the rain. I just took a trip from sw florida to deals gap on my 14, I had to fill up 5 times@$17.00, If I took the 8, I'd have to fill up 3 times at $60.00, that's like a $100 difference each way!

Ouch! But don't sell out yet, prices may drop and an 8 flies well in wind and rain!

P.S. I don't think an Iran attack would help any candidate.... Now a victory in Iraq might have a lot of possibilities....

and Exxon and Mobile are now in production mode there ....

I take any secret program mentioned on TV with a grain of salt.

Because if its on CNN, its not secret now is it?

$10/gal. would mean one tank a month for me- or I'd get rid of the DD and buy two tanks for the 8. But the 8 stays.

But $10/gal. gas would mean a devastated U.S. ecconomy; depression like we haven't seen in nearly 80 years, unemployment in double-digits. That would likely be the irrevocable trigger for removal of all restrictions on domestic & off-shore exploration and production, as well as development of the Utah/Colorado oil shale deposits. Actually they could have been developed ecconomically at the $3.00/gallon level. I think it likely we'll see some changes in domestic production very soon.

CNN debunked - war rumours were lies -

Turned out the CNNers were promoting some guy's book about what he did on some secret team 2 years ago, when the war with Iraq/Iran was really hot -

so CNN promotes the book and then claims that we are ready to attack because the writer said we could do it if we had to. Story got exaggerated to blame Bush (who just signed the new G.I. Bill).... And some of you guys fell for it - talk about the effect of media on the developing mind!

But their rumour did drive the price of gas up, oil up, stocks down and dollar down - and did it make the world a safer place??? - I think not!

Big Thanks CNN - I wonder could we get a group action suit going for their part in the gas price manipulation and get something back for our gas tanks????

When the oil reach 200 a barrel(yes it will, trust me), the world's economy gonna fall like a piece of crap, then the oil prices will drop sharpy probably back to like 20 bux a barrel.

but still We all gonna be fucked so hard, yep, it will happen.
