entering a highway still on the on ramp changed gears around 4k and the rear end came from behind and i hit the car next to me. was my fault as i shouldn't have even been driving that hard as it had just started raining. 10 years of driving first accident i just feel really bad for the guy i hit no one was hurt but he was just on his way to work. cops were really cool about everything exchanged all our info and such and got him on his way while i waited for the cop to finish my ticket.
need new fender, headlight and front end hopefully no underlying damage, doesn't appear to be except maybe the headlight assembly.
rear tires are a couple months old and 275s they didnt help at all

thats sucks, props to you for owning up to your mistake. was traction control turned on? you'll most likely need a new hood too, it would cost a body shop as much in time to repair that as it would to just replace it.

traction control was on turned off automatically after accident, and ya definately need a hood ill probably go with OEM CF painted to match my car. someone is also selling the MS replica kit for cheap but he has no pictures of it and would take me 6 hours to get to him to even look at it. I'm also worried about it being a replica and not fitting right so right now i need to go buy a cheap beater since i just got rid of my truck to drive around for a little while till this all gets fixed.
watch out for replica's, as 90% of them have fitment issues... if this is your daily, and you want to pay out of your pocket to fix i would just replace the headlight *** first, then drive and replace the panels as you can afford them, nothing look TOO badly damaged except the headlight.
you can find a good used headlight around here for about $250
since youre replacing those panels anyway, a hammer will do the trick for now
very true i was just thinking of trying the tire iron but i hate driving cars that look like that especially when i care about them. i would rather keep it off the road and just get a beater for a few months i wish i hadnt JUST sold my truck a week ago i got rid of it for $50 lol

Did the traction control give you any indication it was trying to do something before you lost control? Did you lift off the throttle and/or brake?

nope normally i will get the vibrations when it kicks in but got nothing so i feathered the clutch a little to try and get it to go straight i was almost back straight when i ricochet off the truck. ive been driving for over 10 years and been going to the track for over 5 i know what to do in the situation just having a truck next to me didnt help any.
