you can't tell me you wouldn't strap yourself in for a go though? I would. I'd be wearing 10 layers of protections, wrapped in bubble wrap, but I would give her. I'm suprised the thing doesn't have a seat that supports the head.

Hell yeah I'd give it a shot, but I'd still rather drive my 125cc shifter kart around a track.
I went to do a little searching on the internet. Here's what I found out when I compared this to an F1 car...
F1 Car Stats
Weight Approximate: 650kg wet, include driver
Power Approximate: 900BHP or 913PS
PWR: 1.40
Gixxer Kart Stats
Weight: 135kg no driver
Power: 115PS
PWR: 0.85
What is it that makes us think this Kart is "insane" but an F1 car not as "insane"? Is there something I am overlooking that makes me think this Kart is still "slow" compared to an F1 car?

so what if the throttle stuck and the wall was coming up as the brakes faded.........hell yeah, I'm game......let me kick the tires and take it for a ride

I read through all the replies again, just to make sure I didn't miss it, and I didn't. Where does anyone mention an F1 car? specifically, it not being insane?
Kinda snuck up outta left field there. And yes, F1 cars are insane. Though, you'd have a better chance of living in a crash in an F1 car, which might make them a little less insane to some.
I think the insane part is that it is so small! Seeing something that small travel that fast in that short of a distance is what makes it insane to me.
It is like seeing a little tennis ball blasted out of a bazooka. An F1 car, sure it is fast, but they are long and elegantly crafted works of art. This is a crude little peice of **** that goes like stink!

I'll humor you...
1.) Tiny slick tires that seem to break lose in any gear when the throttle is punched
2.) Solid rear axle where the only real suspension is the flex in the chassis
3.) No traction control, power steering, or any other electronic gadgetry that an F1 car has
4.) No power brakes or abs
5.) The guy has to take his hands off the wheel and shift the kart in an awkward manner
6.) There is almost no weight in the front of that kart, weight distribution must be in the area of 80/20, regular shifter karts still have a rear weight bias but not nearly that bad
7.) 125cc shifter karts are insane, but also handle insanely well and are well setup racing machines, 250cc karts are even more insane and scary for even the most experienced drivers, this thing isn't even well setup and has 1100cc.
If you need more reasons I'm sure I could think of some, but those are what I got off the top of my head. Don't get me wrong, the kart is still cool as hell, but cool in the same way a jet turbine powered dragster is.
Having seen quite a few shifter carts in my day, that didn't look all that much faster than a 250CC shifter - although it seemed to accellerate quite fast.
But what got me is the idiot driver isn't even wearing a collar under his helmet, nor it appears he's even wearing a Nomex suit! It's like he's in jeans and a wind breaker!
Man, I'd be in full Nomex, a Hutchens device attaching my helmet to the back of my suit, and I'd have on some serious arm and knee padding if I were going to strap up into that nutty thing.

Stew
Around a track it would get smoked by even a 100cc sportsman kart, the rear tires are too overwhelmed with the power. But an AT RX-8 could probably take it, but only if Cas's wife was driving it.
