I found a new way to make really quick meals for cheap..
I typically have a huge bag of rice at my house and a rice cooker. I have found that I can buy a large can of Campbels soup and use it in leiu of water to make rice with veggies and meat already in it :D
If I try to just consume soup, I need 5 cans just to feel full.

Makes good side dishes too, I do that all the time. Use a can of cream of celery, chicken, or mushroom with white rice, add salt and pepper, and you are good to go. Yum.
protein bars...they have everything you neeed and you can eat them in less than a minute. a lthough that rice with campbells soup instead of water in it sounds great...risotto is very similar except cooked more (you use chicken stock to make risotto)
Most protien bars taste like MDF :/ I don't care how nutritional it is , I'm not eating that ! :D
That must why I can spend an entire day working in my woodshop and not get hungry. :D
I like to take two packs of ramen noodles and two cans of Campbell's chicken and noodle soup and cook them together with half a can of water. Have that and a couple of grilled cheese sammiches and you've got IMNSHO the perfect cold remedy for two people.
