maybe it's a mistake, but couldn't it also me a funny way of saying infinitely variable auto trans?? i mean, because it works all off the one infinitely varaible gear...

yeah they call it the cvt right? that could be what they meant to print.

yeesh, and I thought the old 2-speed auto tranny's of yore were bad! :D
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the CVT.

Or there is only a place for them to put the number of speeds in that section, instead of the fact that it's a CVT.

That denotes the CVT transmission found on the 1.3L Hybrid Civic.

actually the honda hybrid system uses the gas motor most of the time with help from the electric from a dead stop or when you want more power like when you are passing. but the civic in the carpoint page is not the hybrid model.
