Guys,
Im wondering what the differences between the Grand touring package and the Touring package in a 2004 model are?
Also what about the sport package?
Was navi a part of either of these packages?
How about the sunroof?
Thanks in advance

sport- cloth seats no sunroof and optional traction control

i got the touring cuz leather is to slippery and the cloth holds you in sharp turns.
This is true, I have leather and I find myself holding the E-brake handle while going around sharp turns. Hope I don't pull it up one day. But, the leather feels sooooooooo goooooooooooood. And its funny when someone sits in my car on a hott day and forgets I have leather.

The RX-8 is like cocaine. It is addictive as hell, will run you broke, and your wife will leave you unless she is an addict too.
i test drove a WB GT and took the on ramp super fast and the leather had me sliding all over the place. then test drove my 8 and took that on ramp with no slip. plus in summer leather is a bitch and burns.

04 RX-8 Touring SS, VIS CF Hood, 3" RX-7 store Midpipe, AFE SS, BHR ignition kit w/MSD wires.
how does heated seats help after a long day of work? could understand massaging seats would work out nicely. but if its not winter, I would never touch the heated seat option I dont think..
Just an aside, the '05 Shinka, which is essentially a Grand Turing model, did not have a Navi-optional due to the Sirius inclusion. I always found that strange in a GT, but it didn't preclude my own purchase.

Could have fixed that with a $500 purchase of a Sparco racing seat. Now you never move in corners. And when it gets cold outside you can put in your old seat.
Ok,
so I have the Grand Touring package and the appareance package.
Did 2004 rx-8s ever como with larger brakes? I mean larger than the std. 6spd brakes? Was there a track package or something like that?
Thanks!
