sustained speed is 95 to 100. it's the "showcase" speed tier to show off how fast the internet can be. At any given time I have a tivo, two apple tv's, 3 computers, 2 ipads, 2 internet connected TV's, a kindle, 4 cell phones, 5 IP cameras, 2 blue ray players, a NEST thermostat, and a FTP server all connected to the internet.. and this is just with myself and my girlfriend. So I was able to justify the cost by saying "I need it!". I really dont, but don't tell me that.
Full disclosure, I work for comcast so I get this at a reduced rate. Far from free but 1/4 less then what the public pays.
