Cool hood/rain affect on the RX-8

I was driving home from work while raining today. The funny thing about it was there was water trying to run down the hood on both side(inner) of the rotor shape portion of the hood but since I was going at around 70 m.p.h, the water just keep making little funny shapes on the top of both sides. Keep an eye on your hood next time you drive in the rain.

yeah... I have noticed it, and more than that, I've noticed that area seems to trap dirt.

With OEM tires it freaks me out too much to drive in the rain at those speeds, always feels like I am on the edge of hydroplaning

Me too! Of course it could also be the fact that my car is sideways too, I dunno :D

Has anyone seen their car in motion while someone else is driving?

I wanna see the water dance, maybe I should go ahead and 'break her in' and try driving in the rain. Never even been sitting in the rain yet, except 2x with the evolution cover on. This car so so spoiled

A Zaino'd RX8 during pollen season is good fun in the rain too. The "waterdance" turns green!
