Chili tastes best when it's been cooking all day. If you haven't started it already, then you haven't given the beans a chance to properly soften which means they won't ferment completely in your gut. That means less gas, but more rumbling because your body has more "moving" to do. You won't feel very good a short while after eating that. Deb may thank you for not stinking up the place as much as you could, but do you really want to take this one for the team? :p
Go with chinese and save the chili for another day. That way the whole family can share in the experience. :D

Why are you not a chief? I have a great recipe for chili, with beer in it and even cubed steak. But I am always searching for that perfect recipe..one that is really thick, and loaded with spicy goodness...
Mmmmm... General's chicken. Done right, it is great stuff. The best I ever had was in a little place in Escondido, CA (imagine!). It was a dry breading instead of the usual sticky glaze. But still had the sweet orangey taste -- just enough. Then a drive out to Palomar Mountain with the top down on the Miata to watch a meteor shower! Life was good!

JEALOUS!!!...
But then I can always drive down to Annapolis and onto the Eastern Shore... Hmm, not a bad idea for this weekend.
BTW, Chili is best after sitting for a few days, so go with Chinese Klegg.
Guess you didn't like the ladies I posted for you???
