Wow. I've seen some disappointing choices from people that sold their 8's and I was ready to be disappointed again when I saw the first few pics. Then I kept scrolling...

Props for an awesome build! Amazing attention to detail. Seems like you didn't overlook anything!

The process was very smooth, i just had to make sure all my emissions components are working and the emissions at the tailpipe passes the analyzer... all i had to do is call a number and make an appointment... but i did fail my first test... it failed because i have an aftermarket intake and i forgot to stick my carb sticker on the shock tower! and i left it at home so i had to reschedule... they are strict to a point... but the second try i passed... it was just the drive to the test facility that was time consuming for me... but it wasn't to bad... the tech there was nice so we just talked the whole time... im glad its over with!!!!

Wow....simply wicked

My father has the exact model you have and uses it for his daily. I dare not show him your thread otherwise he'll never complete it

Very clean, very well done, very detailed. That thread has to be the ultimate build of any car I've seen with absolutely nothing left out.

Well done sir, well done

You make it sound way too easy Having lived in the Bay Area I know what a major PITA it is dealing with smog testing.

At first I was a little hesitate towards the bmw as your 8 looked great but wow... after looking at that thread, you literally brought that car back to life. Great Build!

Including the cost of the car itself?

I'm assuming you did most or all of the work yourself, correct?

^Kind of depends on your style, wants and needs. It's a pretty amazing build and I guarantee that it's a real performer now. There's something to be said about having a fairly unique vehicle that you can really call your own.
