I'm sitting here at work and like every day I'm bored out of my mind, so I was wondering, since it seems like others are bored too, I'd just find out what ya'll do (jobwise er somethin)
And yes I realize that people can look at profiles, but there is no fun in that.
Since I started this I guess I'll go first: College Student and currently doing an internship

Good call, that is my major actually (graphic design), I thought that I was going to go into animation, but from what I've heard the pay isn't all too good, so I'm thinking about going into automotive design and maybe web if it tweaks my fancy later on.
Up still here... if anybody ever gets an internship for Indiana State be prepared to be bored out of your mind...
Anyhoo- just for ***** and giggles, I was wondering if anybody knew some companies that imported cars ie: MotoRex for GT-Rs. Any help would give me at least 20 more minutes of more porductive work than I have been working on =)
I work at the DFAS center (defense finance and accounting servies) in Kansas City, doing Main Frame security and surfing the interent all day. yes i am a government tool. but im only 23 with no BA and im make 45 a year (not bad heh). plus i go to school full time at Devry working on my Tellecomunications Degree.
Strider - try these sites. I found them when i was trying to import an Escort Cosworth. im still going to, but i had to put it off until i get GS-11 or 12 (about 50 - 60 a year)
I'm only 16, im a student at Dublin High School in Dublin, Ca.
I believe im the youngest here.
But ive been into cars and motorcycles since i was in elementary
I'm an intern for Dept of Trans. for Indiana State. I do nothing all day. When I finally do get something to do, I ussually get it done in about 1/2 hour better than anybody else in the office. So I sit here trying to find websites.
freekwonder i heard somewhere that ford is going to start working on a focus cosworth, but i'll look into that, and learn more about the cosworth (something to do... kick butt!)
Strider - ive heard and seen pictures of it on Focaljet.com, if you ever have a question about a focus go there) they did do one but it was only a front wheel drive version, i think its called the Focus RS and is avliable in Europe. I know the WRC Focus uses a Cosworth motor. Some day ill be able to import an Escort Cosworth and go mustange hunting and rice hunting in MO. they dont know what it is out here. if you want a good site to learn about Cosworths try
I'm a sergeant in the United States Army; Logistics Branch. I go to freekwonder's web site to get my Leave and Earnings Statement (LES). All it tells me is I don't make enough .
rxtreme - i know how you feel. it told me the same thing when i was a CPL in the Marine corps. i just got lucky and they hired me back doing the same job but double the money.
I'm going commissioned (officer) in a couple of months . It's really the only way to go if you stay in the Armed Forces. It will also allow me to afford a certain Mazda I'm hoping to purchase.
good luck. i wish you the best. just remember one thing when you're an officer. remember where you came from. i always hated the officers that didnt understand what it was to be an enlisted person. but good luck
I'm desktop support for a large law firm in Boston. Did I mention I hate lawyers? Very Very boring job. I spend 80% of my day just browsing on the internet (usually on other boards, for my car and bike)
im also a college student trying to earn a BS in EE. im presently interning for Ford and am bored stiff. every now and then i get a project to do, but i finish it in a couple hours and then wait for another 2 weeks for another project to become available. thus, lots of web surfing and the like.
i was thinking, for as many of us who have tech jobs but no real work to do, then why were engineers in such demand a few years back? i mean, it seems that if the US had 2/3 the technical workforce, everything would flow just as smoothly, and the employees would actually leave work each day feeling like they accomplished something. am i the only one who feels this way?
