Ok, I don't think this has been posted, but if it has it doesn't matter -- it's that crazy. Take a look at this picture. It's from Sports Illustrated and it's a pic of some dude getting hit by a flying bat. The timing of this shot is awesome because you get to see how different people react.
- The guy getting hit by the bat -- it's like he likes pain or something
- Dude in black shirt above guy getting hit with the bat -- drunk off his ***
- Baby in the middle -- just trying to be a part of "the wave"
- Kid on the left with the giant cup -- terrified as if zombies were chasing him.
I could stare at this thing all day.

I pity the poor guy, but he is just sitting there as if he didn't have a clue what was going on. He didn't have his hands up or tried ducking down or anything!

That's usually the way it works. It's the fan that's not paying attention to the game that gets smack with a foul ball or flying bat. If you're sitting in the lower level down one of the lines...you gotta watch the WHOLE game.
I like the guy in the black shirt 2 rows over the guy getting hit with the bat. Just that look of "Damn.. thats cool...." with a small smile/smirk lol.. everyone is freaking and yeah he's just mellow about it all haha.. must watch alot of Jackass.
Though the woman over the head of the guy getting hit is more distrubing as she's more concerned about her pizza than anything else.
Absolutly. The stadium/team can't get in trouble for that? Can the guy sue? I've always wondered that.
im pretty sure that upon purchasing tickets to a sporting event, or taking your seat at a sporting event you have agreed to all risks that come with the spectator sport, including flying equipment.
Shouldnt the father of that small child be making some sort of attempt at protecting the infant from a flying chunk of wood?
This reminds me of that Dane Cook standup where he talks about the lady who got hit with a tire at a Nascar race. Everybody else got out of the way and she put her hands up in front of her as if she was going to karate chop a 120 mph tire flying at her head. lol
Anybody that would SUE for something like that is worthless. That's just the acceptable risk one takes - I bet 'that' happening is LESS Likely than being hit by lightning.
