going to awesome, wish there were more avengers though, wolvie, vision, war machine,spidey,she-hulk. hopefully there will be more in the sequel, and maybe they can base it on the skrull invasion that would be awesome.
there are a couple different versions of it running. in one Cap is running/standing just behind Hulk and says "Hulk..." to get his attention. Then he points and says "Smash" with a smile and Hulk looks at him with the biggest grin as he goes leaping off to hit something.
Coming out on april 25th here.
Gonna watch it for the lols.

I read something already where Marvel stated there would be no sequel. that they were going to go back to focusing on the individual characters. Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 are already in process for example.
Spiderman is already in reboot process and there's been no introduction of she-hulk yet. Vision... meh, i guess. He's quirky in the same way Green Lantern is. Prominent among fans but not recognizable like a "primary toon". There's also an X-Men 4 being done (yes, even though they rebooted), which iwll pick up where 3 left off, so that takes care of wolverine. War-Machine is tied in with Iron Man.
I just dont see Marvel having the resources to continue to branch much further. doing so will really strain their current brands. time for them to "circle the wagons" and focus on what's established and build from there.

I didn't read comics as a teen. Could someone explain why Iron Man and Thor were fighting? I thought they were both members of the Avengers.

In the old comics, Heros in one would on occasion cross over usually to do battle with and then befriend another hero. Perhaps Wolverine was not included in Avengers as he has anger management problems and might not get on well with Hulk. Also, they tended to pool lesser known heros with poorer sales records.... more interesting combos occured when DC and Marvel did cross overs, or Mad Magazine wandered into its own warped universe.
Would have been fun to get an all girls team except most of the gals were vapid beyond belief and had problems with their hips and upper bodies!

hahah thats an old comic meme super hero A protects this town or this bit of town. hero from out of town comes in hot on the heels of some villain. super hero A doesnt know who this new guy is and doesnt like how he trashed some part of the neighborhood while fighting and/or doesnt trust him. fighting ensues until they realize they are on the same side and officially TEAM- UP to fight the bad guys
some times it happens even after they've known each other for years. Hulk and Ben Grimm are almost always trading blows mainly because Ben is annoyed that Banner is stronger and because Ben knows that hes one of the few people Hulk can let out some steam with with out killing them.
a couple years ago in Marvel there was even a hero civil war. there was an issue over hero registration that they took sides on. Some joined the government by registering others teamed-up to oppose it and there were two huge groups of "heroes" fighting each other. Cap basically leading one side(free heroes) and Stark leading the other(registered heroes). of course the whole thing was actually a set up. the incident that started it all was set up by the villains and while the hero were fighting the villains in disguises as "government agents" took over as Avengers and Shield.
Eventually the good guys figured it out set aside their differences and took out the villains.
Now in the film there could be another explanation. there are clips showing Hawkeye possibly acting against the Avengers. And that clip with Black Widow the Shield Agent says "Barton(Hawkeye) has been compromised" . That could mean hes under some kind of thrall by Loki. Iron Man and Thor there for could be under the assumption that the other is working for Loki as well.
neat moment there at the beginning of that fight clip is Stark's Armor AI saying its power is now at %400. thats probably because he just got hit by lightning from Thor. Thats used once in awhile as a way for Thor to help save IM when he's in trouble . So this, for the movies, would be the accidental origin of that bit and will probably be used later in the movie on purpose.
Just watched it.
Except for the random comic lines\comedy stuff it's the shittiest action movie of the year.
Stupid story? check.
Bad intro? check.
Bad directing\cutting\editing? check.
Bad use of 3d? check.
Hollywood is definitely dead, making movie for 13yo brainwashed idiots.
Thank god there's still prometheus to hope for... and it wasn't really shot in america.

O.K. So Marvel must go back to it's ancient roots and do a Spiderman-Transformers crossover - and kids, it really did happen back about issue#3 if I remember correctly, with spidy dressed in his early black symbiot suit because of some wierd toy licensing problem...
Marvel should just stop looking at movie revenues and focus on the artistic side. I watched this one and won't watch a sequel... had the movie been better directed and with some decent storytelling instead..

I don't know what kind of movie you were expecting, but if you ever read any of the Avengers comics the primary focus is mostly about mindless fighting and action. I thought Josh Whedon stayed true to its truths and delivered what most fans of the comic franchise expected.

I was expecting exactly action, the problem is that the movie is poorly directed and ends up looking like star wars inbred with space *****. It's good fo the laughs but it's definitely not a "good" movie.
