All Rotary owners are Concervative Republicans.....

All Rotary owners are Conservative Republicans; some are just in the closet about it,

Our choice in cars says it all and here is why:

We don't care about the environment otherwise we woun't have bought our cars. Rotaries are notorious polluters compared to a conventional piston engine (yes boys and girls, even the RX-8).

Our cars are gas guzzlers and contribute to our countries dependence on foreign oil, but none of us care, especially at 8000+ RPM.

They are made in a city that we nuked in WW2 buy a people that now make great cars for us, and we love them for it.

The members of the rotary community as a whole consider ourselves special because of what we drive.

We all hate higher taxes, (personal property taxes on our cars), and comlain every time we have to pay them.

And last but not least, we all dislike larger governments that impose themselves into our lives ever time we have to get our cars slogged for the emission regulations that choke a rotary engine to death.

Now, with all that said, discuss it amongst yourselves.

all this is true, however when speaking on disliking larger governments, the current government has spent more in the last four years than in all the years previous combined (9.3 trillion in debt)...id love to see a candidate who actually wanted to make government smaller and make them spend less. Tax cuts kick ***, but you have to curb spending as well or else bam we're in debt.

yea but the car comes in black and is affordable to middle income people, including women...

also, it's a car that welcomes change and ingenuity - the rotary engine and suicide doors scream radical scientific innovation

The car comes in both Blue, Red, and Green. I have suicide doors on my 99 F-150, they are not a new thing by any stretch of the imagination, on a sports car maybe but not at all in general.

ah hogwash. Hey there are not enough RX-8s built to make an impact on our global dependance on oil. Give us a break. They now come in Red, White and Blue. Yes and a thousands yes's. Be glad when the elections are over with so I can get busy with the RX and increase our country's need for oil. I guess some with the oil logic would have us back to riding horses and asses to our place of business. The entire world depends on oil. Geesh, wished I could afford more RX's to drive; like to have one for each day of the week. I never received a "thank you" from the oil companies for buying an RX? Did anyone else?

Ah, take three or four deep breaths. We will always have taxes. We would have to be alone on an island somewhere totally dependent on living off the land. Some life that would be. Geesh, No oil = No RX-8.

Theoretically you start by throwing most regulations and market barriers (tariffs, tolls, etc) out the window. we have one of the freest economies and markets in the world but it could be freer, the more the private sector helps society the more the government can focus on only essentials (military, defense, infrastructure) and thus not need as much money from us. if people want healthcare, they buy it (even though people use private healthcare we still have a heavily funded federal and state heathcare bill to swallow), if people want a retirement benefit they invest in one (why pay into social security when you can get a better benefit from an employer plan). A la carte social services are much better than blanket.

again this is theoretical, if applied to actual policy it will need some tweaking to say the least. but thats libertarianism in a nut shell, free economy, and the private sector picks up what the public sector doesnt need to. Its an efficiency play really. However no government regulation presents a little bit of its own problem when you get to certain goods and services in society (drugs, abortion, etc)

sounds good in theory though doesnt it

Wrong, wrong, wrong. The Renesis is actually very clean - it has much lower emissions, for example, than the 350Z, S2000, WRX, or STi. The older rotaries were tougher to get clean, but not the Renesis.

You're so far off base with this assertion that one must question every other statement of "fact" in your post!

Regards,
Gordon

Nationalizing Microsoft, Walmart would be a good start.
