Who's a good rotary guy to go to near Sugar Land?
I'm starting to have an issue with (as far as I can tell) the idle. Seems the engine is surging slightly and it sounds like knocking if you stand behind the car. My check engine light is on with the code being "random cylinder misfire". My car has 73k miles on it and never had a spark plug change (to my knowledge, I bought it used).
SO, at the very least I'm thinking my car would gain quite a bit of performance from a good tune from somebody who knows rotaries, as well as somebody who can tell me the issue I'm having and whether it's just the spark plugs or something serious. Just let me know
Mods:
AEM intake
TurboXS catback and race pipe
ACT aluminum flywheel
ACT sport clutch
Pulley System from RX7store.net
PS. random question, at this point in my "modding" stage, would I really benefit a lot from a custom Cobb AccessPort tune? Or would the results be trivial?

Sounds like you need to change your spark plugs buddy. I recommend NGK Iridiums, and while your at it pick up a BHR racing igition kit for 500 shipped! 80 bucks for plugs and then install them yourself (after gapping) or have mazda do it (probably 120 in labor). Your rx8 will feel powerful and better.
Steve Kan is in Dallas and as a RX7 owner he is the BEST tuning in the USA!
As far as the Cobb, yes the tuning would make your car run better. You will be looking at (depending on your motors condision and you change ur plugs/igition) 215-220whp. Where as your probably at 190-205 right now. The rx8 really needs to be tuned to realize gains with aftermarket parts.
