TX What is your highest Speeding ticket?

Hey Everyone!

Just got my first speeding ticket today. They allegedly stated that I was going 11 mph over the speed limit. Just wondering what all speeding tickets have you gotten and what did you do with it (ie. hire lawyer, take the defensive course, pay fine, take it to court, etc)

66 in a 50. That was on 1960 going to work, everyone does like 80 (4 lanes each side) but because I was alone he pulled me over -.-

Officer liked the car though...

years later they changed the law and when I got a 75 on a 55 it was a $150 fine

Not in the 8 = 125+ in a 55 zone.

Got arrested, car impounded, suspended license and a super awesome driving record.

in the 8 = 89 in a 65 zone

Enhanced driving record.

Haven't had a speeding ticket in 2 years tho. Thank God...

Going 92mph in PR, would you not run out of land within 20 minutes or so?

$294... 59 mph in a 35 mph zone. It was an empty road near ware houses, there was about 3-4 cops standing on the side of the road clocking people with their guns. When they stopped me, they had about 5 other cars pulled over at the same time. I asked the cop to have mercy, and he tells me he already wrote the ticket but that he probably won't show up to court...

I wasn't even driving my 8! I was in my sisters altima, and had no radar. -_-

Miami has pretty tough speeding penalties...

89 in a 65 on I45 heading north into Alexandria in the 04. I had been using cruise control and going the unofficial speed limit (78mph in a 70). When the speed limit dropped, I turned cruise control off, and it appears my foot and car enjoyed the G-forces in the long sweeping curve. Didn't even realize how fast I was going until the radar detector lit up.

Doing 89 in...well the DRAGON
Got PJC
Enter not guilty plea and then immediately ask for a Prayer for Judgment Continued (PJC)
Cost = 0 but had to ride the bus back and forth since my DL was revoked.
But you only had one ticket?
I have had so many can not remember them all.
But have always fought them, asked for Trial by jury and have won most. those lost I have done
community service.

When I was 22, and had my FD, I got one that was so high they had guns out and they pulled me out through the window with my seatbelt still on. Glad I don't do that anymore. I only go fast on closed courses now. Always fight it, you've got nothing to lose.

Funny you say that... I have seen about 7 FD's in Miami, period. Out of those 7, 3 of those were in the process of being pulled over by a cop lol.

I can't remember all my speeding tickets either. 6 in the first 6 months of my license, and then I started getting smarter. Been 2 years since my last of 5 over in the no-mans land deserts of northern Nevada. 7 years since the one before that, also a 5 over.

I've had a handful of 30+ over, but most are in the 10-20 over range. I think my net total is somewhere north of 30 tickets in my life. I was pretty dumb as a kid. Cost me plenty. Insanely fortunate it didn't cost me more.

I got pulled over by a plain clothes police car after passing him and then accelerating to about 190kms/hr(120mph) .
Luckily he couldn't accelerate fast enough to pace me and didn't have radar on so no ticket . Just a lot of finger waving !
