How fast will RX-8's roll in?

I just placed an order with Hiley in Arlington (sales people were really nice) on a Tit gray 6mt. They told me that prodcution would be Aug 1st (which means it is finished or they are starting production?) and it wouldn't be until December that I would receive it. It would seem to me that the cars should start rolling in left and right now. I mean is he saying that all cars up till December have already been spoken for....this doens't make sense to me. I put down a deposit anyways. Should I contact another dealer?

This whole newcararrival routine is fascinating to me, and it seems mostly bollocksed up. Yesterday a salesman at Irvine Mazda said they still hadn't received all their first allocation vehicles, and I believe they are all still at the port.

I'd suggest putting money down on what you want and then canvass neighboring dealers to look for any orphaned 8s...preordered cars that people have backed away from for some reason or other.

Also check out the MazdaUSA website, click on RX8, then search inventory. Somewhere along the line the site will ask you for your zip code, just do as you're told and noone will get hurt. You can then search the local dealers for cars that will meet your wants.
