Houston engine rebuild?
Does anybody know of a well-qualified shop around Houston that would be willing to take in my engine and fix (what I'm very sure is) a coolant leak inside of the engine?

Malloy will sell you a Mazda remanufactured engine for cheap.
So for you guys that rebuild motors or have had them done, what does the rebuild parts and labor run, not including the R&R? I know Mazda has a redesigned side seal that should be a big improvement. That may be reason enough to rebuild it yourself to make sure you get the new seals.

I don't live down there, but I know of a guy in Angelton that can rebuild the motor, problem is getting in line, I know he is out until the end of January now.
Again for the original poster, it's not practical to just fix the seal, if your going to R&R the motor, pull it apart then you just do a full rebuild as the other posters said.
I'm doing a swap now, I just got a Mazda reman.
