Freeman Irving has 3 RX8s

Our man on the scene, Boowana, snapped a trio of RX8s being prepped at Freeman Mazda in Irving TX (on the Southside of 183, about a mile West from Texas stadium).

So the RX-8 is officially a sub-compact? Very interesting.

These cars look low on the port installed options. I wonder if that is holding up some of the other cars.

tOO BAD

All these units are sold but not to people we know on the forum. I guess they just lucked out. The VINs are all below 1700 which would indicate that they were all on boat # 1 (June17th).
My understanding form Mazda HQ is that al the RX-8s in ports right now will be given TOP PRIORITY over all othe rarriving Mazda zcars and that they will be expedited to dealers as quickly as possible. I expect by this time next week, several of us will be in our new rides...ME INCLUDED!!!
The guy in the shirt works at zfreeman,s.

Yeah, what is the deal with the missing wheel centers? That can't be an option. I thought the options were to have an alternate wheel center other than the original if you wanted.

Filled out all the paper work at Hiley today, 7-12-03. Pick up Monday after the state inspection, etc. They are giving me great rate, 100%, 71 months. Asked them about the other RX8s and they said MSRP. As all have said, the car looks great. :p I think if you say I sent you, I get a referral fee. Just say 1st Yellow RX8 sent me.

100%? And I thought the 7.9% I had on my S4 until I refinanced was bad

Ya, that seems pretty high. In many states charging 100% interest is considered usary and is illegal. I wonder how much the payments are on a term 71 months. Let's see. I just checked that out at:

http://www.autopricebooks.com/Pages/Calculator.html

At 100% interest that comes out to a payment of $2842.00 a month with a total payback of $204,624.00.

I suggest you find another financial institution. Even loan shark Larry is only charging 50% interest. Of course he will break your legs and take your car back if you are more than fifteen days late.

I figured this would happen. I financed 100% of the car plus tax and license.

The wheel centers are one of the things that are put on during the PDI. These cars hadn't gotten that far along in the process. Looking at the pictures, none appear to have any port accessories added which supports the plan for the Gulf Region to only ship non accessory vehicles that first day.

Wheel Centers

The wheel centers I noticed were in a plastic bag in the trunk and simply hadn't been installed when I took the pictures. They were definitely there. The black one is in the showroom but I don't know for how long as all three are sold units.

Cool Thanks for the Pic's of my 8!

I picked up the red one yesterday from Freeman. I've had it on order since January. It looks like the picture was taken on the back lot where all the wrecks are kept. I got to drive it around there on Saturday since they couldn't get it inspected over the weekend.

Still feeling car the out, but I'm amazed every time I get in it! The 600 mile break-in is going to be hell to get through without wanting to do something just a little fun! :D

I personally saw your car yesterday, Wayne said that you were picking it up at 2:30. The red is absolutely beautiful!!! I got it as well. I'm going absolutely stinkin nuts waiting for my car to come in. I got the release e-mail on Friday and since then got a call from another dealer who went ahead and ordered a car to my specs based off my initial inquiry. It arrived on Saturday and I have made the ethical decision to stay with Freeman since they have been so wonderful. It's about to kill me though!

Freeman RX-8s

Tank,

I feel for you big time. I got my release e-mail last Friday and didn't expect it till Monday at the soonest. Wyane called Saturday morning saying it was on the lot but no one could inspect it. So I went and drove it around the back lot with the wrapping still on parts of it. LOL

I just talked with Wayne and he's expecting another truck in today with some more 8's on it. I hope your's is on there!

Good Luck and Enjoy!!!
Doug

PS: Here's a pic showing the way the red turns to gold in the sun. Great choice I think!
