R1 Concepts Group Buy Brake Rotors Brake Pads and more

R1 Concepts Inc. is proud to offer Premier Series rotors!
I am offering the Premium series rotors which are made with stronger iron cast metal (G3500) for overall tension strength. The Premium series rotors which is the top of the line series out of the two that I carry (E-lines & Premiums). The rotors are cast with a 50/50 center split for better heat distribution. Premium utilize a black Electro-coating finish applied on the hubs and inner vane structures providing long lasting corrosion protection. Original stock size, will bolt right up with no modifications needed. Our Eline series rotors are made from a cast iron grade of G3000 which is standard industry use. When ordering a drilled or slotted design, our Eline series rotors also comes with a Silver Zinc rust protection coating to help prevent from rusting. All of our Premier and Eline rotors are direct OE fitment.

What separates R1 from the rest?
Often Imitated, Never Duplicated. Here at R1, we take into account numerous precautions in machining rotors. We drill our rotors in house using state-of-the-art CNC machines and follow strict procedures and standards such as drilling between each vane structure. This will allow the rotor to retain its structural integrity and overall strength with optimum thermal transfers. We utilize smaller diameter drill bits for smaller diameter holes and each hole is counter-sink to add strength. You also have the option to go with slotted only or even a custom design with your own logo. Every R1 rotor that comes with slots will come with our exclusive "Diamond Slot design" (45 degree angle end points), to help release trapped debris. Our diamond slot design is also a good indicator for rotor wear. We also offer optional Cryo Treatment at an additional cost. (Cryogenic treatment is a process that improves the performance and life of the rotor by strengthening the metallurgy. This process will help to give an extra level of protection against warping).

Why are you choosing R1 Concepts Inc?
We’ve been in business since 2002 and have been a supporting vendor on this forum since 2007. With countless sets of rotors/ pads sold (and many other forums) and Top Notch Customer Service to back it up… Buy what's trusted.

*WARRANTY*

Here at R1 Concepts Inc, we stand by our products. We offer a one year warranty on warping and cracking on all R1 brake rotors due to manufacture defects and workmanship for our Premier line. For our Eline series rotors, we offer a one year warranty for warping and one year for cracking.

I bought these a few months ago, very nice guys, and great product for a good price. Nice OEM replacements, OEM size, etc.

Melvin - For what it's worth, I asked you guys to send me a set with the entire rotor face coated with black high-temp paint, in order to prevent a ring of rust on the extreme edges of the rotor face. I know, I'm super **** about it. Anyway, it WORKED PERFECTLY. The only thing I would advise people is that you REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! The "burning off" process takes a while and frankly is scary as **** haha. Makes weird sounds, smoke, smells, etc. Only do one set at a time (rears then fronts, that sort of thing), and set aside some time to do that, have to jack up the car multiple times, and do a thorough and proper bedding sequence AFTER all the paint is gone. But as I said, it came out perfectly, they look amazing.

and I took them to the track the next weekend, and performed basically the same as the OEM brakes....which is to say...very well!

Those are some pretty sick prices. Elysium, do you have any pics of the rotors/the install at all?

Thanks for the great feedback, it is a simple process to paint the rotors with high temp paint. The paint can be purchased at any auto parts store and helps prevent the ring rust and rust inside the cross drilled holes and slots for a very long time. I am glad you hear that you are happy with the rotors.

If anyone else needs a set, send me a PM and i can get an order set up for you.

Sure. I actually meant to take some during the install, but forgot. I cant explain how ridiculous a completely black-painted rotor looks both when taking it out of the box and when mounted on the car, before the 30 minutes or so it takes to wear the paint off.

They look really good. Again, nothing tooo fancy, but great as direct OEM replacements.

And with the paint coating, after wearing the pad sweep area, there isn't a single space for a drop of rust to form at all. After living with an ugly ring of rust on the OEM rotors for years, I am particularly happy about this...

I know those arent the most flattering shots, and it was from a cell phone camera.
But really, they look worlds better than the OEM ones, trust me.

I know.....I did a pretty rush homemade job of it a few years ago, and it shows. Should do it right and get them powdercoated. I just don't have time now to do it, or have downtime with it, she's my daily driver....

how much would it be for a set of front and rear "drilled only" rotors and brakes? also, do you have any that are painted silver instead of black?

Can you send me prices for slotted only, drilled only, and drill/slotted for both front and rear. I'll also be looking to get some Hawk HPS pads as well if you can include those prices.

Thanks.

Placed my order with Melvin (r1concepts) the other day for new pads and rotors. I ended up going with the slotted/drilled rotors and Hawk ceramic pads. Even though they don't carry those ceramics in stock, Melvin was able to special order them for me. He was very helpful and prompt in getting back to me. Great prices as well. Hopefully I get everything before next weekend so I can get everything put on. Thanks again.
