If you used a credit card as the funding source through PayPal (rather than your checking account) you can go to your credit card company and have them do a charge back. They will charge PayPal who will have to refund you themselves, then they will go after the seller with a little more force. They have the right to recover amounts owed through whatever funding source the seller has on record (their checking acct/credit card). PayPal will be much more proactive getting it back when they have already been forced to refund you. If you paid with your checking acct, then you will have to wait, but keep on them since they can recover the money even if it isn't in their account (per new rules instigated in the last couple of months).
