MEDIOCRE: seller sideoftheroad
I bought some parts from this seller recently, he is parting out an rx8. Initially things went pretty well and I got several replies per day from him as he was eager to sell parts. I sent funds for several parts and he shipped them quickly.
He was also supposed to check on a couple of other parts, but as time went on, communication lagged more and eventually stopped, and he never followed through on the promise of checking the condition and letting me know about availability, price, and condition.
When the parts that I ordered showed up, I was underwhelmed.
I needed one tail light, but he refused to sell one without the other, so I bought both. Well, both showed up with holes drilled in the clear outer lenses (someone's idea to remove water vapor), and the insides were very dirty and discolored. But, okay that's a somewhat common problem with them, so whatever, I guess it's my fault for not insisting on clear pictures before sending money for them.
I bought a center console and it showed up in fairly good condition, but the front lid latch/button was broken. Okay, that is very common and I expected that, so no big deal. He also did not mention that the rear cupholder lid was broken and floppy, so I had to try to take the one out of my old console and make it work in this one. He also didnt mention that the silver paint was all scratched up on one side (this was the entire reason for me needing the console, as someone had painted the entire console crappy black in my car and I wanted to make it presentable/normal again).
Next I had asked for the vertical plastic divider between the back seats (someone had painted this part in my car as well). Sounds fairly straightforward, right? Dude sent me the plastic piece between the rear speakers on the rear deck lid under the rear window instead. I asked him to send me the correct part, and he said that he would, I was even going to buy more parts from him to help him make up for the loss. But at this point he pretty much stopped communicating altogether and left me hanging with the wrong (worthless) part.
So, not a good seller but not necessarily bad either. Pretty weak, though. Use caution with your dealings.
