Esmeril Racing - BAD GUYS!!!!!
I bought my "HP" 4.0 kit from these scam artists last year during their sale. I went with their kit because it would be ready to ship as soon as payment was received!!!
I paid and it was not shipped. Their excuse was that I paid for the ball bearing option and it took them longer to get the turbo in.....ok I can see that.
When I took my kit to my shop to have it installed, quite a few parts were missing! The fuel pump, and injectors were the big ticket items! So after a few week of trying to get ahold of someone (aka Chris) I finally recieved what I though was the upgraded fuel pump....no, a cheap China knockoff. We trouble shot for weeks before finding the problem. A replacement from Summit sports was sent, and the crap knockoff was on its way back to Esmeril.
Well after many delays and getting my money and time taken away by MM with my cobb tuning, I switched to the Adaptronic ECU that Elliot @ Turblown is selling! Great Unit and a great guy to deal with BTW.
I sent the car to Chip @ Chips Motorsports after reading a good couple reviews of his work and helpfulness on the forums. He has been hard at work getting the new ECU tuned for the kit & car.
I got a disturbing phone call from him tonight asking about the wastegate and if it was truly a Tial unit. I said that was included with the kit and sent him the link to the web site. He pulled the serial number off and contacted Tial (which is a local Michigan company also) and found out it is also a F*CKing knockoff and has created a whole new set of issues for us.
After paying over $6k for this kit, Im ready to bust some f*cking heads! I will badmouth this company until the day I die. DON'T BUY THEIR KITS!!!!

A picture of the fake unit will be posted by Chip or myself. I'm heading to have a minor surgery done at the VA hospital. Chip is removing it now & a REAL tial wastegate cost me an additional $400 lastnight.

This sucks, but I do recall post from years ago stating that their stuff was cheap Chinese knock offs. I think that was the turbos though. It sucks that some vendors suck so bad but the writing was on the wall considering how absent Esmeril has been. I'm sure Chris will have some BS excuse about how he didn't know the stuff was knock off ****.

This is what the WG looked like when I got my kit last year. Im trying to work this out with Chris, but I already bought a legit WG from TH Motorsports.....Chip should have it tomorrow.

If that is a fake then you should report it. I try an report fake Ebay items when I see them. It sucks you have had to buck out for so much extra **** on this build.

Well I was just pm'd by Chris telling me the wastegate isn't 44mm like I thought, but the 38mm tial.....so another $315 and return shipping charges!
