Has anyone else here had problems with the so called esm racing guys? I highly doubt they have ever raced anything, at least on a real track. C doesn't even know the difference between a 20b WP/thermo housing and a fd one, yet he claims to have done 20b rx8 conversions!! He even sent me the mod guide showing where to cut the fd thermo housing, even after I pointed it out he claimed that his 20b dummy engine had never been modded and it must be my 20b that has a different WP etc!!! Now I'm asking for him to remake the turbo manifold he sold me cos it doesn't clear the OMP and again I got excuses such as it's possible my omp isn't factory and is perhaps different to their one. His solution is to make me a flange ( the cheap option for him) but no good for me as I want to use a sohn adaptor also which adds another inch to the equation. So the total thickness of the flange would be 1 & 1/2 inch. Now he's not answering my emails. So this is the service u get after u drop over $10k on a 20b kit for an rx8 with big turbo etc. from the so called esm racing!, buyer beware. Oh and there were other issues too, but a little more minor than the others. I haven't yet tried to use his sub frame extension but I am a little worried for sure. Feel free to list ur bad experiences here about esm. I'd like to know what other dodgy crap this guy is known for. Also the inlet manifold to inter cooler pipe was too short, making the inter cooler fit crooked on an angle with it also touching the big centre nut under the pulleys, so u can't even put on the pulleys. I've decided to use a better clamping system anyway which will fix the problem. But really for a business claiming to be capable of putting together a 20b rx8 conversion kit, these are not acceptable errors. I'm now liaising with mp who were the distributor for esm, and hopefully I'll get some satisfaction soon.. Rant over....for now

I guess you didn't do any prior research on him before you bought? He is a well known shitty vendor who makes a shitty kit and sells knock off parts as legit parts.

Also the pics he sent me of their engine and WP mods I'd need to perform. (Lol if I had a FD WP maybe)

Well they came to the party with a partial refund for me to sort out the manifold issues.
For this I am glad coz overall the kit was fine, the sub frame ext and crossmember. Those are things that take time to develop and has saved me a lot of time, tho If I owned a welder I'd def give it a shot.

Problems resolved.
