Damn.....I thought there was a sizable chunk of money involved here.

$40?

Let it go.

He'll pay when he can pay, and when he does he'll buy you a few beers at the next GTG.
It would be nice though, if he would just come forward and say he can't pay, even if it is just a measely $40.

But hell.........$40 isn't worth sweating over.
That's what my friend said who is a ex-gangbanger to let it go. He was asking to borrow $300 I wouldn't allow it.

You said I'm getting work over $40. Well how about the bumper? Does that mean I got it for free?

Wait........you said he purchased a replica Mazdaspeed bumper from you ($400) and you turned around and loaned him $40, indicating you received cash, then loaned cash back to him.

Are you saying he got a bumper and $40, all of it on loan?

If it is the latter then I revert back to seconding zoom44's comments.
If it is the former, and he paid you for the bumper, and you are only out $40, then let it go.

Inspiration: I suggest you delete this thread, (go to your first post, click on the "edit" button and select delete). Then start a new thread with exactly the same name and a bit clearer premise.

I would do it for you, but I don't have thread editing privileges in this Forum

Every penny counts. Long time ago I let a good friend borrow money. He borrowed me $1,000 pay me back slowly til it got to $180 left. Then he claims that I stole his gold bracelet. From that day on I swear that I will never let anybody borrow money.

He never show up to pay the debt. My friend saw him at the Mazda headquarters meet in Irvine with a new hair style and flirting with the models. Before he had a long pony tail hair style now he has a spikey hair style.

I love when I see new threads in the "good guy bad guy" section....always a juicy read lol.
The rest of the site I read for information/interest....this section is just for $hits and giggles...
