Thumbs up Wow!!!

I have just driven a new Bentley Continental GT. 411kW 6.0 litres, twin turbo all wheel drive 2 ton monster. This fat car handles really well considering weight. I drove 100 miles from the Hunter Valley to Sydney using a scenic road call the Old Pacific Highway. On one memorable straight it accelerated from 120kph to 210kph in 7 seconds! Just phenomenal! BUT it averaged 22litrs/100kms doing the trip.
It's performance figures read 0-100 kph (62mph) in 4.7 seconds top speed 318kph (just short of 200mph) . a tad quicker than the RX-8. In OZ this car costs $400 000..... 9100RPM

Am I the only one that doesn't like these cars? I would much rather a 612 or DB9, hell I would rather a giant AMG MB with a huge F'in engine.

It's cool you got to drive it though, good lucl with your freinds search.

Well I'm glad you got that straightened out....for a while there I was worried that you had a male life-partner (j/k)

I don't know anything about them, not even what they look like. But all that power would sure be fun! :D And it's a Bentley, so you would be a pimp.

Ahhh....hmmmm...so you're either a chauffeur, independently wealthy or a member of the Murdoch clan

None of the above. The second one is very appealing however. Just happen to have very wealthy friends, who also share a passion for all things automotive. 9100RPM

I'm straight , he's straight . In OZ it's "..how ya goin' mate" or if you can't remember names, "thanks (er) mate.." Gets one out of some awkward spots sometimes.

The Bentley can be seen at

www.bentleygt.com

Worth a look but better to drive! 9100RPM

Thanks , I would never buy a car over two tonnes. (if money were not an issue mind you!) It's just too heavy but boy does it fly.

He's now talking DB9..man hope he test drives that one! 9100RPM :D
