Tornado or similar products?

Whats up folks, sorry if this is a repost, but I didnt see anything about this during my searchs...
I have been finding similar products to the tornado that supposedly create a cyclone effect that gives you more air.
Is there any truth to it? Its a relatively cheap mod, but does it actually work at all?
Thankz...

If it did, don't you think it would already be in there?? Air flow is designed the way it is for a reason.

It is a gimmick, waste of money, etc.

Tornado air is a waste of money - if you have money to waste, buy it.

popular science or mechanics a few months back got all these gas saving products together and tested them, and basically debunked all of them.

if you want gas savings, I would get the REVi intake. That and switch all your fluids to Royal Purple and check your tire pressures. Those will net you the most savings.

relatively cheap mod,
Two things, about 12" from the install location of this and similar devices the intake tube splits into three smaller tubes that feed the three ports ( 6-speed car ). What happens to this Vortex when it meets the separation of the intake tube? It still has almost a foot of intake before it is injected into the motor. This large photo LINK gives you an idea of the path air takes into the motor. It can be argued that the Vortex device makes things worse because of the disrupting of smooth airflow before the split of the intake.

Second “relatively cheap mods” & RX-8 cannot be used in the same sentence

Did you know they use the same tornado action in the new maytag washers? Just a little fyi. It claims to take away grime a lot better than other washers. Oh ya Maytag are no longer made in the US. Too bad, they were one of the last US made products that are more than decent. I think the only ones left are golfballs and the fuzz on tennis *****. But I might be wrong.

So putting a restriction in your intake gives you more air, eh? What a load of bunk.

Even if you wanted to try it, you could make the same exact thing for less than ten dollars. Just a piece of metal, a tape measure and some tin snips are all you would need.

That's like saying, "well hey, mcdonald's is all greasy food that is not good for you, but how come nobody has done anything to boycott them" because people love gimmicks, people will blow money and useless things and people don't waste their time on useless products and if they do then they really are stupid, and if they are that stupid they are not smart enough to even know when to sue or how to.
