I think thats pretty bad that it didnt beat the G35 worse espically if the SRT-4 is pushing 19psi

GO Stock G35!!!!

Only the '03s didn't have LSD. Though the SRT-4 owner lists a bunch of mods it's really not going to be much faster than a stage 1. The SRT4 also let off the first couple runs pretty early after it was clear the G35 wasn't going to catch him. Then there's the weight factor, were there a couple passengers in the SRT-4 and none in the G35?

That SRT-4 owner modded his car the wrong way IMHO. With stage 2 and a 3" exhaust he would run between 16-18psi, pull harder, and not risk damaging his engine with a crappy A/F ratio and insane EGT's. Plus he wouldn't get any PTFB (partial throttle full boost) and intake surge. Also you can always tell which SRT-4 owners used to own Hondas because the first thing they do is slap on an aftermarket intake. Not only is it a waste of money but the PVO guys, Ethan in particular, has said many times on the SRT forums that Mopar hasn't released an aftermarket intake because the car is built like a brick **** house before the turbo. Just look at all the sub 13 second sartees running the stock airbox/intake. I hate welfare mods like the AGP wastegate. All you're doing is increasing boost with a stiffer wastegate spring than the stock piece. In order to circumvent the control of the PCM you have to cap vacuum lines, reroute things, add an MBC, etc. It's a ticking time bomb. Spend the money and do it right.

At least he had the stage 1 PCM...although 19psi is outside of the efficiency range of the turbo. After 18.5psi the engine continues to build torque but it loses HP.

G35 sounds very nice. That was my 2nd choice car. Is it just me or does the Neon owner sound like an idiot ? What's a mid-dump ? I've heard of dump back pipe or uppipe, or downpipe, but never a mid-dump. Also his car sounds strange. What is that cracking sound that you hear on his car ?

No passengers in the G35? Who was filming the first race of the Neon at the beginning of the video? Not the driver......

Yeah, I love the exhaust notes of both the G35 and the 350Z.

the first 1:30 of that vid is useless...

Would you guys rather have a 12-second SRT4, or a 13 second G35? My vote goes to the G35.

Hell I'll always take a G35 before an SRT4.

Those cars are not even comparible in terms of price. Hell, I'll take an e46 over the g35 .

Dang I sure wouldn't mine having a G35.

I remember back when I was pushing a Big 16g turbo @19 psi on my eclipse and I raced my friends stock G35 and the results were about the same and I had to shut it down pretty quick because of my EGT's. I murdered his car though after I was tuned.

I think that Neon wasn't tune right It could have been faster. I got to give it to the G35 though.

That proves my point - somebody having the cash for a G35 gets more 'props' than a guy with a fast neon.
