Spy info/video of 2007 911 AWD Turbo!!!!!!

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...cleId=106272#1

As usual, Porsche delivers

If I had to choose one sports car this would be it. Porsche somehow adds their awd system without adding significant weight. What other car can compete?

That looks really awesome, but I don't understand the addition of AWD. I guess I'll have to wait and see some reviews before I make my final decision. It just seems like RWD fit too perfectly with Porsche.

911TT's have been AWD pretty much forever. If you want a high performance model with RWD in the Porsche lineup you have to go to the GT2 (turboed) or GT3 (non-turboed).

Thats what I thought. Its nice to see the spy pictures. But the awd isn't anything new.

Eeek, uh my bad? I have not been on my game lately. I was under the impression that the GT2 was the 911 turbo :o Thanks for the correction.

Is it the same system as the last generation? Car and driver tv said this was a new awd system that is lighter weight then the previous one.

I could be/I am wrong here, but this is what I thought: The GT2 and GT3 are considered 911's they are just the highest performance models. They are both twin turboe'd and awd...

How come you can't look at the GT2 and GT3 on the porsche website? They are not any new ones on sale for the 06 year, just 07?

That site says it is competing directly with the new Z06. I wonder which one will be faster round a track? The Z06 already wins the top speed mark by 7mph. (191-198)

Funny, I never thought you would be a German car guy, Darkmaz8?

Im not a german car guy, I'm just a car guy period. Have you driven a 911 turbo? I have and I felt like a super hero.

Mercedes is the one you want to stay away from. It was "Hitlers choice"

Okay, I think I can answer this one. The GT2 is turbocharged, but the GT3 is an n/a version of the 911. It makes like 380 hp on the flat 6, while the GT2 makes 460ish horsepower turboed. Please let me be correct this time :D

Those are super old prototype photos. It looks a lot more extreme in them. The new ones that have surfaced look like a re-skinned 996TT. Pretty boring actually. Most 996TT owners don't even think it's going to be worth selling theirs for the new one. I'll post some of the newer ones tomorrow.

The intakes behind the door are not nearly as cool as they were on the masked up prototypes runnning around. and that wing is just all camo, looks niothing like it
