Spec-V any different?

I'm sure most of you have read up a bit on the Nissan GT-R Spec V. Rumored 550+ bhp, 0-60 in under 3 seconds, full carbon fiber body, less than 3,500 lbs curb weight, etc, etc, etc. So I'm pretty dumbfounded to find out the GT-R Spec V went from 480 bhp to 485. ????
I continued reading, figuring Nissan had just sliced off incredible amounts of weight to make more horsepower count. Again I was stunned to see they shaved off a whopping 130 lbs.
The performance figures don't add up either. The Spec V is basically no faster than the standard GT-R in a straight line. And the launch control feature apparently hasn't been solved either. Then I saw the price. Nissan is asking for more than DOUBLE the original cost of the GT-R, at over $160K. For better brakes, cooler rims, and 5 more horsepower. Oh and don't forget the special paint.
What really sent me over was that Edmunds actually compared the Spec V to the ZR1. Using terms like "on par" and "similar". The only performance factor the Spec V competes with the ZR1 in is the slalom (AWD vs RWD, big surprise). The ZR1 clobbers the Spec V at everything else (Edmunds needs a better driver for the ZR1, as an owner has already hit 11 seconds flat in the quarter mile bone stock. No challenge for the ZR1, it already posts a 10 second trap speed, just needs to hook).
Baaaaad Nissan

Thats Nissan for you, there trying to get top dollar on hype!
The GT-R is a great car, but i don't know about paying double for the extra fluff.
The GT-R is more of a challenger to the Z-06 than the Zr-1, Edmunds is strange sometimes when they compare there cars. The ZR-1 is on another level...
