My 09 FZ6 when I got it. It now has a leo vince exhaust, puig windscreen and I removed the graphics on the fairing. Gonna upgrade to a Z1000 prob next year. I love the fz6 but I just feel the need for more power. It's a great bike tho, super comfy. I ride my brothers 08 cbr1000 from time to time and that thing kills my hands, back, nutz...ect. Being 6'5" it's hard to get comfy on anything with clipons.

thanks coldflame. maybe i'll go back there and try on some alpinestars just to see the sizing. they're releasing 2 new models within the next to months, so maybe those might be worth considering- pricey tho

we definitely should go riding when u get back to LA... let me know!

ps. nice FZ6 sixsix... super clean

I need to wash and wax it, but here's the new ride. It feels like a 800 hp turbocharged rotary. Smooth like butter, but it's also ripping your face off.

2008 ZX-6R in the only color a Kawasaki should come... ...Lime Green.
I couldn't have asked for a better bike! PLENTY FAST, and a BLAST to ride!!!

In 2 years, it did EVERYTHING I asked it to do, and kept begging for more! 20,000 miles with NO problems! ...Then he went missing...

Thanks... Here's how it sits as of now. I removed the graphics from the fairing and added the pin striping on the wheels. I'm debating on removing the front fairing all together and going with a buell dual headlight set up but I haven't decided yet.

^ nice! i think it looks nice both w/ & w/o the fairing... u can find some pix of it w/o on the fz forum...

mysql> BIG bike...

rotory> i think lime green is a great color for visibility & safety reasons.
that said, just my opinion- and no offense- but florescent colors had their day in the sun back in the late 1980's, where they should stay... <lol> i have a lime green electric guitar, and it's been in cold storage ever since... hahaha. i'm not sure why kawasaki can't let go of the lime green... but, maybe it is for the safety & visibility reasons?

Safety - I always said that if anybody ever hit me and said "I didn't see him" I would love to find out what drugs they're on, because I wear full Green Gear, Green Helmet, Green Mohawk, etc... LOL!

As for GREEN, it's Kawasaki's Trademark color. PASTELS did indeed go out in the 1980's.

But mine's a beautiful machine... To Me.

these should be pretty easy to put on, they're just clip ons, do you have actual handle bars or is it clip ons like these?

i have actual bars. but, after reading up more on these, they only lower the bars by about 2 to 3 inches. doesn't seem worth it for $200 and all the trouble of removing & migrating all the hardware. i'll just save my $ & stay bone stock until i'm ready to upgrade to a new bike in a year or two i guess. :P

yw... i'm happy to say that i've graduated to light canyon runs now- tho at my own slow pace... freeways are no problem now... they are still windy as heck, but like coldflame said, u get used to it somehow... i love riding a lot, but i will always love driving still. both are fun as heck!

Another update, got the streetfighter head light on. It's from the India spec FZ16. Haven't ridden with it yet, still need to add the mirrors. Gonna get a belly pan and rear seat cowl to finish it off
