well, if the hype is true- then the car will become so expensive that it will no longer be a good value. afterall, if it goes into exotic price range, would u pay the same $ for just a nissan?

Lap time was 1:19.7 -- I'm thoroughly impressed!

That time wasn't impossible as anything is only impossible until someone does it. It was very fast but not the record. Impressive nevertheless.
Second and I want everyone to let this fact sink in as some are in denial. MAZDA WILL NEVER BUILD A CAR THAT WILL COMPETE AGAINST THIS!!!!! NEVER!!!! Get over it. They aren't even thinking about it.

I wasn't around then but prior to the RX-8 didn't most rotary enthusiasts think that Mazda would never put a rotary engine into a 4-seat sports coupe? Hell with the current automotive market and world economy if someone put a gun to my head I'd predict Mazda doesn't produce anymore models from the RX line and abandons the 16x but I've never been able to figure out how the folks at Mazda think so I fully expect to be wrong.
