Thanks.... not to mention if you wanted some creature comforts , you shell out an extra 10k! Yikes! That is a bit much for the ZR-1, but people will buy it for bragging rights.

Sad thing is you can save yourself 45k in change for a Z-06, slap a S/C, tune it with all the neccercary bolt ons, and still come out ahead in performance and in the wallet.

Hey Alfy do you think the ZR-1 will be used in the ALMS?

Hmm that is a good question, the current one is doing so well. . but i thikn it would pretty interesting to watch if they do if its for GT1 or GTS. also i think Compuware team most likely testing them out. but that is what i think. what are your thoughts daily?

also glad Aston won the 24hur

I missed the 24hur...Aston won, no kidding? Thats two in a row for them,I know Compuware was dominating the 24hur for a while now. Kudos to the Aston team!

Yeah I think Compuware is testing them out too, i know they had there hand in developing the production base Z-06. And like you said, there doing so well with the Z-06 in the ALMS, i wonder if they question is there a need to race the ZR-1. Lets face it, there only competition is themselves , Aston tries and tries, but it seems like they are forever plauged with probems on American race tracks. There were talks about Dodge coming back in the beginning of the year, seem like now everything is mute again. My fingers are crossed, Chevy needs some competition!

I wish Ford , Dodge , even Porsche would put there entry into the GT1 class , GT2 class has Ferrari, Porsche, Dodge, Chevy , Ford, Panoz, and I think i am forgetting another manufacture.

Do we know if the Furai is going to race in the P1 class for 2010? I seen some recent photos of the car, and it has that IMSA sticker on it , i don't want to get my hopes up just yet. I hope Mazda runs that beast , update the P2 Mspeed lola chassis with a rotary , and have Mazda running in two classes. Now that woud be sweet!

is it true that the P cars are going closed cockpit for ALMS? if so that will be sweet, will like to see a Furai type car racing. mazda really needs to do something in the P catagory. Right now i just root for penske team lol, since i dont care for XMS or TDK team.

as for GT1 class, i wish Ford GT was racing in that catagory. would be very entertaining. Hopefully they will bring maybe the GTR into that series. I tihnk Masserati in gt2, i can never remember if they are not. i might got them mixed with Panoz.

and yah Aston came in 1st and i think 3rd place. i know for sure 1st place.

Also i love watching Penske and TDK battle out. the Audi just owns the porche on the straights, but the porsche owns the Audi on the turns. so very exciting battle between those 2 teams.

As far as the price of the ZR-1, I'm sure hardcore Vette/Chevy fans won't be worried about parting w/ that kind of cash for the fasted Vette to date. These are the type of people that would spend any amount of money on a Vette because they wouldn't want anything else. Hypothetically, I would settle for a Zo6 and something like an RX-9 for that kind of money if I didn't blow it on something German or GTR-ish.

As far as Le Mans, I was truly disappointed w/ Speed Channels coverage. I was all excited last week about watching it all weekend but of course the Americans get screwed w/ no proper motorsports coverage. They had little stints of coverage throughout the two days but every time I switched it on it was still Nascar junk (and even Monster Truck, lol). I haven't seen the end of it yet but I downloaded some 10 hours European coverage this week so I will probably watch some of that this weekend. Sounds like it was a good one.

Sent you a pm.

Motorworld.net is the place and they usually have torrents for anything motorsports or car related. Registration is free and worth it for car nuts.

Alfy28-yeah Masseratti is in the P2 class. Pugeout flat out put the smack down on the Audi and Porsche teams at Sebring. Like you said Audi owns the straits , Porsche owned the turns,Pugeout shines in both areas and whipped them both badly. And yes its true, by 2010 all of the open P1 race cars will have to go to a closed cockpit. Which leads me to believe that Mazda may be bringing the Furai to participate.(hoping and praying) Recent photos shows the Furai wearing the IMSA sticker as a badge of honor on the race track, they don't put those stickers on race cars for show.....

Jrichter-Thanks for the hook up on the link, i can believe the speed channel skimping out on this historical event, if its not NASCAR , they have no interest. Last year they showed about 20 hours of the 24hur. We need a new motorsports channel in this country, one that shows international races and such.

Ugh, I hope they don't actually sell it in that teal color. Especially considering they're only making 2000 of them, a car this badass should only come in black.

Another great website is http://www.racing-underground.com
They have torrents for just about everything. I will try to keep this on topic and post some of ALMS stuff in that thread.
