You're going to spend a ton of money to compete with a factory turbo car. dollar for dollar, not much else can compete with it. So ya you're screwed!

Either way you'll lose. Get over it. I never thought I'd be able to use this pic so soon.

That reminds me when this young guy pulled up next to me in a c6. He's like lets go. Im like "it's okay dude". He kept bugging and had something to prove.

If I had a vette I wouldn't be looking for 8's to kill.

Probably $6,000 for a good turbo kit. Tune it well. Do all the bolt ons, which will probably be another few thousand worth. So yeah, about $10,000. and I bet you could beat one, even modded ones. There are people here claiming 300 - 400hp with a good setups.

More of it will be picking the right stuff and getting it tuned properly. Much more time than money will be involved.

Just drop off your car + about $8000 + an LS# motor + a T-56 at Hinson Supercars and that should solve all your problems.

10K sounds close but I bet more with tuning. Do a turbo kit, bolt ons, suspension upgrades (to hold down the new power), bigger tires would help too, light weight rims, gut the car while your at it, add some nitrous. On second thought it would be lots more than 10K probally more like 15 - 20K.

So the price of your can 30K + 15-20K in mods = 45 - 50K spent to beat a 35K EVO kinda dumb in ya ask me.

Remember we drive the 8 for the fun of it. Not to try and be Speed Racer.

Why do we allow these threads to continue. Most of us already know there is no point to it.

Mazda=superior handling and fun
Honda\Toyota=boring, safe and reliable
European Cars=I have money and I want to spend it all
American= USA USA USA nothing beats American made
Subaru=fast and good handling
blah blah blah=blah blah blah
