Well they didn't actually drive the car, just talked about it. That 1/4 mile is manufacturer claimed.

The Z06 is an insane car, and arguably the best bang for the buck out there. Those figures seem a little quick, but even if they're off a little it's still a bargain. I'd rather have 2 Z06's in different colors to drive every other day than one 911 with similar performance. If the GTO didn't look so much like a cavalier, I could at least say I had a corvette engine. Maybe one of these days.......

How do the numbers seem quick? It has 500 Hp and is lighter than the Viper and the Ford GT. Im thinking that they are accurate if not on the conservative side.

Well, Chevy claimed a 12 sec. 1/4 mi. for the previous Z06, and none of the magazines ever got lower than 12.4's. Has it been done on the track..yes, just never in the magazines. I can't wait to see what they can do with this new Vette. i'll say around 11.8's.

The Z-06 now has 500 hp, 500 ft. lbs. of torque and weighs less than an RX-8 at around 2900 lbs. Which part of that isn't quick? I saw a video over on LS1.com of a C5 Z-06 racing a new standard C6. The Z-06 wasn't much faster at all. It was very close. The new Z-06 will be much faster than the standard C6 and old Z-06. I have no doubt it'll do high 11's stock.

Yeah, I have not heard anything about 2900lbs....Blue seems right about that, and if SO...OHHHH MAMA...

I love the vette, it's the BEST all around sports car in the world...I think at least...

Now, if they could only make one a 2+2 and weigh no more than 3200....lol

Yeah, 3150 lbs, and 475 ft. lbs. of torque, not 500.

My guess is that Car and Driver will get it around 11.4 or 11.5.
