New Mazdaspeed 3

This doesn't look good.

2014 Mazdaspeed 3 to Lose Turbocharger? - Rumor Central

not unless they're making it 600 lbs lighter.

This does look good

Cue the Variants: Coupe, Mazdaspeed Versions of Mazda6 on the Way? - Rumor Central

I'd love to see a Mazda 6 coupe, but I'd need a turbocharger. I'd like awd too.

thats great news the dizi engine is garbage and spits out rods like no tommorrow. I will sacrifice a little performance for reliability

Iv always been a fan of NA anyways, less parts to break

just as long as it makes very good power. Can they get 230 na hp from a 4 cylinder? If they go the Civic SI route I don't think it would sell. The civic SI isn't even a hot hatch, technically.

AWD MS6 would help Mazda make a statement...I'd be in the market for one...

why awd ms6?? why not a ms3 awd hatch

personally id like to see something different like a hatch awd (not to heavy)with a na motor making a decent 210-220 hp and with new technology im sure its easily possible

I don't think they can make awd light enough to take advantage of the awd. That's what turbos afford, lot's of torque. match that with awd hookup and you've got speed. I'd love to see an awd turbo MS3 with say 260 280 hp. take the awd from the cx5 and put it in the 3. I'd do the same with the 6 coupe. Make it a little lighter than the MS3 with the same engine, better aero, more aggressive gearing. You'd have a winner. I like how BMW uses the same engines across their line-up and get great performance, even out of their base engine.

Mazda should make a Mazdaspeed variant for all of their vehicles except the CX9... not needed. I would so buy the CX5 with the Mazdaspeed 3's engine.

There was rumor about using a turbodiesel too. A N/A version would undoubtedly be lighter than the current one. There is zero talk about changing from the FWD platform though. And I doubt they will use the US only 2.5L instead of making a higher output version of the global 2.0L Skyactiv-G. Which is still interestin to me but a long way off.
