New M5 pic?

Supposedly a new pic of the next generation M5. Looks a lot better with that aggressive front fascia.

although it's looking pretty Japanese, it's not half bad... certainly not as bad as the regular 5 series... but those headlights, they just kill me... who the hell would think that's an attractive design??? anyways, good find.

It looks like the new 5-series with bits of the current M3 photochopped onto it.

Chris Bangle still sucks.

From the new issue of Autoweek:

"DOES IT HAVE THAT 7 Series exterior?

That was what everybody asked when they heard we'd driven the new BMW 5 Series, due out this fall. The answer? Well, yes, it does have "that 7 Series exterior," but come on, man, that Chris Bangle design dude has to be a genius or they wouldn't give him such free rein with these things. If you don't like the look of the 7 and 5 Series you're just not forward-thinking enough, or you can't appreciate the subtle integration of curve and thrust, the tension and anger of the shapes and forms, the... aw, heck, design is subjective. At least you get more trunk space. "

Even though design is subjective, I still think Chris Bangel sucks. BMWs have always had classy lines and a style all there own, but now they are just trying to copy the Japanese.

As for the M5, the front end is OK, but in my opinion a step backward for BMW. If you saw what the rear end looked like you would understand my anger (I will try to find a pic to show you what I mean). The only thing I like about the next M5 is the 500 HP V-10.

I'm saying it looks better with the new aggressive fascia. The lights still need an eyebrow trim.

I think the headlights look attractive, it just don't go with the air vents * nose of the car *. Hell if your getting v10 with 500 ps who cares what the headlights look like.

The front fascia and overall styling look very nice, very aggressive. But just those headlights, they are like.... sleepy eyes? I still like the current styling, looks more elegant.

I would.

Sadly with the ugly looks, and the iDrive system, the car just plain sucks regardless of how it handles and how fast it is. I want a car for the WHOLE package, not just bits and pieces.
