My Enzo Encounter
Mods I don't know if this should be in The Lounge or here, but feel free to move it!
So today I stopped by the local Ferrari Dealership to look at a couple of Lotus Elise's I saw sitting on the lot. We ended up going inside (My mother and I) and started talking to a salesman who is pretty high up in the dealership (top 3, he can drive home whatever car he wants on any given night!!) So we're talking to this guy and he took a liking to me, so we're talking cars and he realized I had a passion for them. I also asked if he could tell me who it was that bought the Enzo that was in a couple months ago (they never put it on the showroom floor, heard about it from a friend) and he said he couldn't tell me who owned it, but that it was actually here today. My mouth dropped. He said, "Yeah, I can't really show you though, customer privacy and everything" So I said, "THAT'S JACKED UP!!". He laughed and said he was kidding, and then walked me back to it. Holy ****, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. It was under a cover, and he pulled it off, and I just sat there and stared at it. Turns out the owner brought it in for the $1,000 oil change (they have to take the engine apart to change the oil). And while we were looking at it in the back garage, all the mechanics and people that were working there were looking at us like "Who are these people? Why is he letting them look at the Enzo?" I don't think too many people are allowed back there to look at it, so I don't need to say how much of a hero he is to me right now. Just thought I would share my experience with you guys, thought it was amazing. Shees. I'm still grinnin'!

Nice! Couldn't finagle getting in the driver's seat?
What's with the elise's sitting on the lot? I thought that there were huge waiting lists all around the country?

LOL the guy was nice enough to let me see it, I wasn't about to push my luck.
There was one that was spoken for, and then a maroon/biscuit (tan) interior that they bought and have now marked up the price to over $60,000! Apparently they're a hot item right now. The elise looks great in person by the way, and if I bought one, it would be Maroon!

Nice of that salesman!
I saw an enzo once, parked out front of the Royal York in Toronto. I think it was part of a movie shoot, but maybe not. I glanced at it, said to myself "hmm don't see those everyday, I should go and check it out". Then I kept on truckin into the Royal York and up to bed. I got up the next morning dumbfounded, I couldn't understand why I didnt go take a closer look. Ah well, I guess I will have to wait until I own one ::crosses fingers:: ::crosses toes::

I saw an Enzo a few weeks back on State street in Chicago. It was in the morning when I was driving to work and the guy had it on a trailer and it was all badged up for racing. What sucked was that it was raining.

Haha that's awesome, unfortunately he didn't fire it up for me. That would have been an experience in a closed garage with no noise!

I saw an elise on the road here a few months back and I have to say I was disappointed, it really didn't stand out to much, my wife even said that it was nothing special and that she sees them all the time, then I had to point out that she was talking about the mr2 and not the elise. I don't doubt their performance one bit though, but for that kind of cash I'd hate to own something that gets mistaken for an mr2 or less.

Canary I'm gonna have to strongly disagree with you on the elise blending in. It's easily one of the most unusual cars on the road. Then it's tiny size makes it stand out even more. I don't mean to be a jerk... but do you even know what car you're talking about?
