did you actually dyno those numbers, or are you adding up what each company says their part makes?
Cause if you just added up what they said the parts make, my rx-8 would have 800 hp by now.

I do not see the SE-R getting a 35HP gain out of an intake, header and catback. It is a pretty well tuned engine from the factory and the stock intake and exhaust is not all that restrctive. Those gains would be good gains for a turbocharged 4 cylinder even. You need to dyno it then install the parts and dyno it to really see what the gain is.

lol.. what a bunch of bitter haters we are.
If it was a "real" gain of 35 hp which might be possible that is a good deal considering only 3 would have impact on it- header, intake, exhaust. The old RXs exhaust alone could have gained 20hp and same is true with some cars now, so it might be right. It is the V spec not the lower powered one

Looks like you overpaid and got the ugly version of the spec-v. Got a 2002 that I bought new for 17k and it's got a much much much better looking front end. The earlier front ends really save the car from a bad case of the uglies.
Fun car though, very quick off the line but not much above 5000rpm's. Got PZero's on my wife's and they help a lot, stock tires suck, suck real real bad.

That being said, I really don't understand the point of modding up economy cars. FWD coupled with gobs of power is quite the insipid combination. I'd rather spend my money on a nicer car. To each his own though. If you like the mods, they're worth the money.

Those numbers you quoted earlier are stock FWHP numbers not WHP. I agree with Icemastr, I don't think those numbers are close yo what you'll actually end up with. I think the dynos are in the low-mid 150s for that car but don't quote me on that. That engine reminds me of the latest celica engine from what I've heard of it. It's just not very responsive to modding(NA anyway)

The old SE-R 2 door Sentra was a very cool car, if I saw one roday for cheap I'd but it in a flash. The new ones... eh I could really care less if I was in the market for a car in that category I couldn't imagine picking the Sentra SE-R over the SRT-4, SVT Focus, MSP (when it was in production), Cobalt SS, RSX, and probably a few others I'm forgetting.
