And that's a fact. Sorry if it doesn't jive with your "rotary is ****" view of the world. Fortunately, folks like you won't be the ones determining the future of the rotary engine.
People who know cars are a very, VERY small demographic and many of them know that the rotary is a pain in the ***. There's not enough there to make a car profitable.

IMO, Mazda will need to have a ridiculous warranty to bring people back in and in order to pull that off they'll have to hammer the new engine much harder than they did the Renesis.

So, basically, the RX-VISION was just a design exercise? It was just the next iteration after the Hazumi's introduction of the Kodo design language?

Man, I hope not.

Either way, a manufacturer saying that their production cars will vaguely resemble their concepts isn't really groundbreaking. That article feels like quota-filling.

They said right at the introduction of the Vision that it was a view of where they were going Kodo next. Nothing has changed with that.

No precedent in Mazda's history, and I will back that up.
BC! All those qualifications make my head hurt.

Just take his bet as-is. It's easy money!

The grammar issue with the title combined with the fact that they are suspension testing a Grand Touring instead of a S3 RX-8 makes me think that "future supercar" isn't what they are testing for.

BC.

Is Mazda making these for testing or are these some left over models from 2011 or earlier?

They are leftovers. The RX-8 assembly line was dismantled years ago. Probably where they make the ND now.

"Are Mazda" is correct British English, I believe. They address corporations as groups of people, so "are" is correct. In the US, we treat corporations as individuals, so "Is Mazda" would be correct. If this is a Brit or Euro magazine, the headline may not be a reason to discount its contents.

Also, no comment on whether the 570s was instrumented? Maybe a Mazda exec just wanted some track time.

the only places i havent looked is instagram or pinterest. i dont do twitter but i have a twitter handle just so i can search for things like this from time to time.

if it came from one of those other places someone else will have to look. it's certainly not on his .com/facebook for the .com/his own facebook/his twitter

neither google nor bing turn up the images.

one search yesterday turned up my question tohim and nothing else
