Still not loving the huge gaping mouth. Other than that the new 3 seems pretty nice.

I'm not a fan of it either, but these pictures in natural lighting make it look a lot less ridiculous.

it needs a lip/chin splitter/thing - that would make it seem a little lower too (the same way the one on the new R3 finishes off the bottom of the '09 RX-8)

and I agree, it looks much better from normal outdoor angles, instead of with it way up high on turntable inside

This is Mazda's way of promoting front license plates, which everybody seems to hate. Gotta cover that grille, yo!

(VA is a 2-plate state anyway, so I've never had any choice)

why is it called i-stop? What's the projected hp output? My folks just got a 2010 Mazda3 hatch. I'm excited for them!

The front grille on the new 3 looks hideous, just like the one they stuck on the new 8. They should have kept it more subtle like they did on the new 6, which is now the sharpest looking out of these three cars.

It is a matter of taste, I really like the front of my car, much classier, but I am an old Fart!..

You can see the Taiki design influence with the flow in the new 3.
I guess if it had a Taiki Front it would be OK.

Like many things, in reality or flesh I think it will look great, sometimes pics don't do justice to many things.
