The shocker is not the revelation of the faceless people, but the fact that it weighs as much as rx8. Basically rx8 +40 horsepower. Which is what people keep wanting, rx8 +40 horsepower.

Looks great.
Remember Lotus was never about astonishing hp #s. They are the best handling most perfectly balanced cars out there. Also keep in mind that the base elise in the UK only makes 135 hp. They upped the power to 190 when they brought it to the US, and there is now a 220hp version. i suspect there will be a FI version of this car in a few years.

Before unveiling, all those Lotus driver hoped it would offer 911 performance for Cayman S price. But unfortunately, it offer Cayman S performance for 911 price. Due to its heavy weight and weak Camry motor.
All those people who dog on rx8 for its price/category/hp/style automatically must dog on evora for its price/category/hp/style. Where are all those people now who go "rx8 all show"? Where? Where are they saying "evora all show?"

280 hp isn't anything to sneeze at.

it weighs less than the rx8 below 3000 lb, and it has a lot of torque too. It will be very competitive vs the 997 911, i dont know about the new one though

It states that it will have a sub 5 second 0-60, not too bad. Now just wait till they devlop a Sport version, with a supercharger (they did it with the recent exige and elise). That will be quick, not that this isnt.

Look like the Tesla roadster...
0-60 in 3.9 sec.
13,000 RPM Redline
256 MPG equivalent (its electric)
The cost of powering the vehicle is estimated at US$0.02 per mile
$60k
