i noticed this today

a dark grey S2000 was in the oncoming lane, and i almost started waving, really looks a lot like an titanium RX8 from the front until you notice the lack of any under grille baggage, and the convertible top lol. i looked behind me and even the taillights looked similar...am i going nuts or are there shared styling cues between these two great vehicles

You're not the only one, others have noticed it as well, but there's still a chance that you're nuts :p

twas 8am...and even though i have yet to see an rx8 at night other than passing reflections of myself, by virtue of like the six lights that are on it must be quite distinct (i don't remember seeing many s2000s at night either.) Where i live the SUV is still the status symbol not the sports car....a bunch of rich idiots in my neighborhood

Yes, the RX-8 was S2000's brother separated at birth and was adopted by Mazda in secrecy.

To my fellow Pennsylvanian. Your right. From a distance, the light, front bumper and fenders look similar.

One for not nuts.
