Huge article on it this month in SCC. If I was a multi millionaire I would think about it. BTW, that 500 hp rating is a joke. They were saying that testing within Nissan/Nismo they were running 10.1 sec. 0-400m (almost 1/4 mile). That is faster than the Enzo. Sick *** car, but with only 20 being made, who will ever see one, let alone own one ?

From the reading of Jap mag, they said the car are all 2nd hand car which are carefully choosen by their engine and chassis wear and tear.
They have repolish and rebuild the engine and of course, all Nismo tune parts are in.
They are given a new Odo and because they are only able to find 20 cars which is not highly modified... that is why they only target 20! Just think what is the labour cost would be!

There was an article in autoweek last year with sales contact information. I would bet that they are all spoken for by now. There has to be at least 20 people in the world that would gladly drop 170,000 for the fastest car ever out of Japan.

Limited numbers also...
I prefer the NSXs sleeker looks over the GTR's muscle car look... I know some people would either like or hate that humongous scoop. :D
Woops... I made a boo boo, I just did a recheck, turns out its ALOT more expensive only 5 cars will be made.
This thing will be delivered this September at 50000000 yen... that is about $470000... craaaaazy.
According to the magazine interview, that cost goes into hand making and molding the all carbon fiber body of the R-GT.
And they were not interested in selling the 5 cars anyway, they were just making 5 to satisfy the requirements in order to field this car in this years JGTC championship.
And as of now, orders has been closed 3/22, all 5 units has been sold.
Maybe you can see one in Ebay.
Or do like what I will do, get an NSX for 60000 bux and get carbon creations to make you those aero parts... still cheaper even if you had to make the mold :p

Not to mention pretty much the whole front of the car is made of CF. Titanium parts of the exhaust as well. Engine & all the components are about as bulletproof as possible.

They are either showroom cars or cars still in stock. Just because production has been ceased for the GTR doesn't mean that they can't make it again. There is no way Nismo will sell 20 used GTRs (used R34GTRs with 10 or 18kms will only cost about 6-8 million yen).

^....thats not what i herd... im goin with Takahashi on this one. I dont remember where i read it but his info seems right
Edit: ah, i found it...
"NISMO is handcrafting 20 Z-tune GT-Rs to mark the 20th anniversary of the birthdate of Nissan's racing arm. Ah, you argue, Nissan hasn't made the GT-R since 2003. That's true. The 20 very lucky and rich people whom we want to say bad things about are actually buying used GT-Rs. NISMO bought used GT-R V-Specs, each with less than 18K miles on the clock, and stripped them to bare shells"

I wish that there were more than one company inporting these things into the US(MoToRx). Then maybe more than just the elite could buy skylines(r34) without selling your soul. Unfortunately this skyline will most likely be bought by rich piece of craps or museums/showrooms and most will never be seen by the public agian unfortunately
Any one know of a video or soundclip of one, I would love to hear it run.
