Gas still on the rise...

Sorry to start another gasoline thread, but I got the word from a local fuel station that prices are gonna go up another $0.20 per gallon in my area tomorrow. This sucks.

I'm sure it'll rise everywhere else too. You may want to fill up tonight and save a little money.

This thread will be deleted tomorrow.
The gas station across the street went down 2 cents.
The last thing we need is misinformation and hearsay like this to be spread around.

Prices have jumped insanely here in Hawaii the past two weeks...I've seen the price jump once in the morning and then again at night in one day. But it's probably different at different parts of the country. Here it's now $3.54 for Shell premium.

Look at the correlation between gas prices:

Higher gas prices out west, NY/PA/northeast, and north central (Ill, Mich, Wisc), all areas that voted democrat!
Ok, so it's probably that the left wing nutjobs in those states jacking taxes way, but still, I like the correlation...

Hooray! This thread has devolved into one of the three standards: political, auto vs manual, 8 vs sti/evo. In this case, of course, political.

IBTL.

I am being rather facetious. I guess that didn't come out. But, there does appear to be some sort of correlation...

Yeah, I know. I just wanted to call out IBTL in the hopes it would be locked right after that so everyone could see how l33t I was.

Who here can't locate Delaware on the map? Be honest here -- no cheating.

Yes, it's more likely that the democrat areas have higher taxes on fuel.

He's right. I found this map to back up his claims.

So much for all the SRTs out there (and 8cy in general). Just saw a couple Jeep SRTs with their 11mpg go by me yesterday.

Had to travel on the Capital beltway this week and there is definitely a bit more money around there than in my neighborhood. Was follwing a BMW and got passed by a benz AMG, Lexus, 3 acuras all inside of 30 seconds. Then a Ford GT and a Bently coupe go by me on the way home, as well as a misc assortment of 50k plus vehicles. I did see a couple of 8s as well, they really are good looking cars.

You're a ******* idiot. You remind of a tv-esque Alex from 'Family Ties.'

You probably whack off to reruns of that show.

I found it rather humorous. You could also overlay that with highest education level attained or country music preference and get similar results. But then again its more due to population density in those regions aka supply and demand than anything. Still rather funny IMO.

Does anyone else find it strange that most of the outer US border is a bunch of jagged lines until you get Half-way through Minn all the way over to Wash where it's almost a straight line.

That's because most of the rest of the borders are governed by bodies of water. Nature doesn't make oceans, rivers, and lakes very straight. Damn nature.

Meh, it's true. It's a pretty good place to live though. No sales tax, generally low housing rates (in some areas), not too crowded (housing or traffic), no natural disasters problems (protect by VA and NJ), tons of chemical and finance jobs, and far enough north that you don't run into too many hicks. It's kinda boring if city life is your thing, though.

Remember on Wayne's World (and Simpsons since they copied them) they went to DE and they go "I want to visit a screen door factory!" I've been there -- that place sucks too.
