Nice... for cars that aren't a pony car. Pony cars are V8 machines only... v6 or I-4 models are pointless posers (although the sell the most, no enthusiast understands why people buy them).
A limited edition LS powered Sky/Solstice would be a good idea... or maybe drop a big V6 in.

I'd rather have more displacement than FI (as in the Cobra).... but I guess i'm the minority these days.

What a dilemma......displacement vs supercharger. I don't know how to answer this.......I also love displacement (there's no replacement for displacement!)......but I also love to be blown
I wouldn't knock the 4.6 DOHC Cobra engine......talk to engine builders.....that engine is good for a reliable 1000hp.

Sorry, I'm a little late with post, but here it is anyways.
I'm not really a chevy fan, but I did work for a chevy dealer a year ago and worked on all of the different engines. I can tell you this, the 5.3 is the best V8 that GM has made in the last few years(with the exception of the Vette motors which are made for HO). The 5.3 produces a good solid power band and has the fewest problems of all the engines (including the 3.6 and 4.3 V6's, as well as the 4.8 and 6.0 V8's). The 4.8 just has no nut whatsoever and the 6.0 has no upper end power at all. The 5.3 is really a pretty solid engine as long as you don't mind piston slap (which every GM engine has), hehe.

^Is piston slap = adding oil in the rotary? What I mean is, it sounds like it means something is wrong with the engine instead of it just being a characteristic.

Thanks, that was great. It's not a good thing...PERIOD, but all piston engines do it to a certain degree.
PLEASE MAZDA, keep making the rotary better...I almost feel like if I ever get another piston engine I'd be going backwards in time or something.
LOL
Of course, the rotary has it's own demons...
